Sports takes centre stage in Sundargarh politics

Bhubaneswar, Nov 29:  With the election approaching, leaders of different parties in Sundragarh districts are trying hard to reach the voters. Sports and tournament is the easiest way to connect with the people in this sports-loving district. So the leaders are even not skipping the village-level tournaments.   

BJD MLA from Rourkela and Minister Sarada Prasad Nayak have been touring around the district, attending tournaments. He has been spending more time in the playground and mingling with young voters. ,  

Similarly, former MLA from Rourkela and former union minister Dilip Ray has also been attending in various tournaments. However, he is not open about his political plans and the possibility of contesting in the coming election.

MLA Subrat Tarai is also seen to be active in his constituency, Raghunathpali after a long period of silence.  Not only that, he is also encouraging the sports enthusiasts.

Shankar Oram, the young BJP MLA of Barmitrapur Constituency in the district spends a lot of time on social activities, but he is more passionate about sports.

Not only these leaders but also many sitting MLAs and ticket aspirants are trying to woo voters through sports and local tournaments.
