Balasore, Dec 30: Six students from Model School were injured in a road accident today morning when the auto-rickshaw they were traveling in collided with a roadside tree in Kochiakoili in Balasore district.
The students, who were on their way to tuition classes, were traveling along Kupipar Road when the accident took place.
According to local reports, the driver lost control of the vehicle, leading to the crash. The impact of the collision left the students with serious injuries.
Being informed, locals and passerby rushed to the scene, pulling the students out of the wreckage and immediately transporting them to a nearby health facility. The injured students were later admitted to Khaira Community Health Center (CHC), where they are currently receiving treatment.
The condition of the students remains critical, and health officials have indicated that they are closely monitoring their recovery.
Local authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.
