Bhubaneswar, Dec 9: As the election draws nearer, parallel programs of BJD have been seen in the Jayadev assembly segment under the Bhubaneswar Lok Sabha parliamentary seat. The ruling party leaders are busy to show their strength in the constituency.
On Friday, sitting BJD MLA Arabinda Dhali of Jayadev organized a party program with his supporters in Saradeipur Dak Bungalow premises. Hundreds of his supporters gathered there. MLA Dhali addressed the party workers and emphasized on implementation of developmental programs of the Naveen government. Along with this, the workers were treated with a feast.
BJD leaders Sarat Patnaik, Bhagirathi Patra, Laxman Patnaik, Durganandan Mishra, Arjun Jenamani, Biranchi Narayan Kar, Sarat Sahoo, Arup Sahoo, Shankar Sahoo, Ramalata Nayak, Ranjan Mahapatra and former member of Sarakana Panchayat Narayan Sahu were prominent participants.
On the other hand, another group of BJD under the leadership of Sreemayee Mishra and Kailash Patra had organized a Jana Sampark rally in parallel. Hundreds of party workers went from village to village in three panchayats of Balianta block. The bike rally was held from Satyabhamapur Panchayat. Bjd spokesperson Ipsita Sahoo, Shubhransu Mishra, observer Barada Prasanna Patnaik, Chandan Patra including Zilla Parishad members, two block chairmen, and two block presidents were present there.
It is said that Shreemaye Mishra is an aspirant for BJD ticket for Bhubaneswar Lok Sabha seat. She has been mobilizing the party workers in seven assembly segments coming under this parliamentary seat since months.
