Puri, Aug 23: Puri Shri Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) on Saturday wrote to Archaeological Survey of India to initiate repair works of the Shrimandir Ratna Bhandar.
It was informed by Chief Administrator, SJTA Dr. Arabinda Kumar Padhee.
Padhee while interacting with the media persons said, he has written to the Director General of ASI and sought his intervention regarding earlier renovation of the inner and outer Ratna Bhandar.
Dr. Padhee further said that ASI authorities have been asked to undertake laser scanning,GPS assessments and other technical studies to find out cracks, holes and other scaling fractions those are harmful for the architectural configuration.
Worth mentioning, the Almirahs and chests those were used for treasuring the gems and jewels of the Ratna Bhandar were shifted yesterday from both the inner and outer cellar so as to facilitate the repair and renovation works of the ancient treasury trove belonging to the Lord Jagannath.
