POLAVARAM (AP), June 10: Andhra Pradesh Irrigation Minister N Ramanaidu on Tuesday said that the Polavaram Project is advancing steadily and remains on schedule for completion by the end of 2027.
Speaking during his visit to the construction site in Eluru district, Minister N Ramanaidu highlighted that key infrastructure components, including the diaphragm wall, are progressing as planned. He also stated that work on the buttress dam is nearing completion, allowing for uninterrupted progress even during the monsoon season.
“Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has already conducted three on-site reviews of the Polavaram Project to monitor its progress closely,” Ramanaidu noted in a statement issued after the inspection, which he undertook along with department officials.
