Jaipur, April 18: Rajasthan gears up for the first phase of Lok Sabha elections on April 19, with approximately 2.54 crore eligible voters spread across 12 parliamentary constituencies, according to officials.

Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Rajasthan, Praveen Gupta, revealed that the latest voters' list for the first phase of Lok Sabha polls comprises over 2.54 crore registered voters, showing an increase from the 2019 count of around 2.32 crore. The demographic breakdown of eligible voters includes approximately 1.32 crore men, 1.20 crore women, and 304 third-gender voters. Nearly 7.99 lakh voters will be exercising their franchise for the first time in this election cycle.

Additionally, 1,14,069 service voters are expected to participate in the electoral process, along with 2,51,250 voters with disabilities. Jaipur holds the distinction of having the highest number of eligible voters among the 12 constituencies, with 22,88,793 voters, followed by Dausa with 19,03,520 voters. CEO Gupta noted that Jhunjhunu stands out with the highest number of centenarian voters eligible to cast their ballots in the first phase, totaling 8,699 individuals.
