New Delhi, May 7: Former Puducherry Lieutenant Governor and ex-IPS officer Kiran Bedi on Wednesday praised the Indian Armed Forces for the successful execution of Operation Sindoor, a strategic mission targeting nine terror camps located in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK). Bedi commended the operation as a decisive "action" rather than a reaction, highlighting the government's firm and proactive approach.
"Nine sites were struck, and all were identified as terror factories. The Government of India did exactly what it promised. This was not a reaction—it was an action, meticulously planned over 15 days. It showcases the capability and resolve of our government," Bedi stated.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Indian Armed Forces revealed details of Operation Sindoor during a media briefing featuring Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, Wing Commander Vyomika Singh, and Colonel Sophiya Qureshi. Wing Commander Singh emphasized that the operation was launched to bring justice to the victims of the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack.
She confirmed that all nine terror hideouts were successfully destroyed in the early morning strikes, and stressed that the targets were carefully chosen to avoid civilian casualties and infrastructure damage. The operation was presented as a calibrated, justice-driven response carried out deep within hostile territory.
