Bhubaneswar: Odisha men’s and U-20 men’s relay teams won a gold and bronze medals respectively in the 1st International Invitational Relay and 3rd National Open Relay Competition 2026 at Chandigarh Sports Complex on Friday.
Odisha men’s 4X100 relay team, Abhinash Sahu, D Jayram, Mahendra Santa and Lalu Prasad Bhoi bagged the gold medal clocking 40.47 sec. Tamil Nadu I and Jharkhand won silver and bronze medals with 40.51 and 41.10 sec respectively. In the prelims race Odisha clocked 40.59 and moved to the men’s final race
Odisha U-20 boys 4X100 team Chinmaya Nag, Jiten Bagh, Turia Oram and Ayushman Mahapatra won bronze with a timing of 42.08 sec. Tamil Nadu J and Karnataka E won the gold and silver clocking 41.58 and 42.03 sec respectively.
