Bhubaneswar, June 1: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow warning for hot and humid weather conditions across several districts of Odisha.
According to the IMD's regional centre, such conditions are expected at one or two places in the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, and Gajapati from 8:30 AM on June 4 to 8:30 AM on June 5.
During the same period, light to moderate rain or thundershowers may occur at isolated places in Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Gajapati, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, and Mayurbhanj. The remaining districts are likely to experience dry weather.
The forecast further indicates that similar hot and humid conditions may persist in the same districts from 8:30 AM on June 5 to 8:30 AM on June 6.
Additionally, light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely at one or two places in Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, and Balasore, while dry weather is expected elsewhere in the state.
