According to the information, Sushant’s mother Sundari Khuntia could not bear the grief of losing her only son. As Sundari had already lost her two sons and husband earlier, Sushant was the only bread earner of her family. After the death of Sushant, Sundari suddenly felt unwell and was admitted to Anandpur hospital. She was then shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack after her condition worsened. However, she passed away due to cardiac arrest.
Worth mentioning, Sushant was killed during an encounter with Maoists in Kolhan forest of West Singhbhum district in Jharkhand on Friday. Sushant was posted as a jawan with the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in 2012. An encounter broke out between the security forces and Naxal in which two jawans were injured. Both the jawans were airlifted to Ranchi after the encounter. However, Khuntia, who sustained bullet injuries in his chest, succumbed to his injuries.
