New Delhi, May 28: An alarming incident unfolded on Tuesday as an IndiGo flight en route from Delhi to Varanasi faced a reported bomb threat. According to reliable sources, the aircraft has been relocated to an isolation bay for thorough investigation.
Airport authorities have swiftly mobilized aviation security and a bomb disposal team to the scene, ensuring a comprehensive response to the potential threat. As per updates provided by an Airport official, the situation is being closely monitored on-site.
Sources said, concerns regarding a bomb surfaced aboard the flight at 5:35 AM today. Quick Response Teams (QRT) promptly deployed to address the situation. To ensure passenger safety, all individuals were evacuated through the emergency exits. Fortunately, all passengers have been safely evacuated, and the flight is currently undergoing inspection, according to statements from the Delhi Fire Service.
Adding to the gravity of the situation, aviation security officials revealed that the IndiGo crew discovered a note containing the word "bomb" within the aircraft's lavatory, prior to departure. This discovery has intensified efforts to thoroughly examine the aircraft and ensure the safety of all passengers and crew members.
