Heavy rainfall warning issued for Northern & Southern Odisha

Bhubaneswar, May 11: Various regions of Northern and Southern Odisha are bracing for heavy rainfall. Some areas may experience incessant downpours, increasing the risk of flooding.
Places like Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Koraput, and Malkangiri are expected to receive rainfall. Intense showers are likely in Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, and Bhadrak.
Weather authorities have issued warnings of flood alert in various parts of the state till 14th May. Concerns are rising about the possibility of flash floods and landslides in susceptible areas.
However, there is a slight relief in sight as the forecast suggests a decrease in rainfall intensity on the 15th and 16th. Nonetheless, intermittent showers are still expected. It is advisable for residents to stay vigilant and take necessary precautions as sudden changes in weather patterns can occur.
