Mumbai, Aug 17: Sachin Pilgaonkar will celebrate his 63rd birthday on 17 August. The actor, director and producer have worked in several Hindi, Marathi films as well as in Bhojpuri cinema. Sachin also produces and directs many comedy shows on Indian television. Sachin shares his birthday with his wife, Supriya. Sachin met his wife on the set of Navri Mile Navryala (1984). He starred in the Marathi film, which was his directorial debut. The couple has a daughter, Sriya, who is an actress. Love story of Supriya and Sachin: Sachin and Supriya Pilgaonkar are two of the most prolific actors of the Marathi Film industry, and their contribution to regional cinema remains outstanding. Sachin started his career as a child artist with Haa Mazha Marg Ekla in 1963 when he was just three years old. He also had a successful run in Bollywood films like Geet Gaata Chal, Balika Badhu, Ankhiyon Ke Jharokhon Se and Nadiya Ke Paar etc. Later, the Sholay actor set foot in the direction with 1982's Marathi film, Mai Baap. {"id":130678,"sizeSlug":"full","linkDestination":"none"} For his second directing work, Navri Mile Navryala, which came out in 1984, Sachin cast newcomer Supriya Sabnis as the lead actress. Supriya learned the acting quickly and continues to win the hearts of millions with her debut film as Chameli. The TV actor's comic time and lively presence on screen made the film, as well as their on-screen counterpart, a huge hit. The duo fell in love while filming Navri Mile Navryala, but failed to muster the strength to acknowledge each other. In an interview with Rajshri Marathi, Sachin revealed that he wanted to propose to Supriya while filming, but somehow didn't have the courage to do so. {"id":130680,"sizeSlug":"full","linkDestination":"none"} After the film's shoot was completed, he proposed to Supriya.
