Bhubaneswar, Aug 12: Vigilance sleuths on Monday conducted simultaneous raids at nine places related to the former Chief Engineer, Roads & Building (Civil) on charges of amassing properties disproportionate to his known sources of income.
The accused has been identified as Tara Prasad Mishra, the former Chief Engineer, Roads & Building (Civil).
Sources said, the teams of the anti-corruption agency comprising 12 DSPs, 12 Inspectors, 16 ASIs, and other staff raided the properties of Rout and his relatives in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, and Jharsuguda on the strength of search warrants issued by Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar, sources informed, adding that the team found some important documents during the search.
