Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Deaf Cricket Association (ODCA) proudly extends its heartfelt congratulations to Sibun Nanda on his remarkable selection to Team India’s Deaf Cricket Squad for the upcoming international series against South Africa. The tour will feature 3 T20 matches and 2 One Day Internationals (ODIs), scheduled from 26th April 2026 to 2nd May 2026.

 

Sibun Nanda, a versatile all-rounder from Berhampur Sadar in Ganjam district, Odisha, is well known for his quick running between the wickets and exceptional fielding abilities. He is regarded as one of the finest fielders in deaf cricket today.

 

He has been associated with Ganjam District since 2020. Initially excelling in athletics, Sibun later pursued his passion for cricket after completing his schooling and joined Ganjam District to participate in domestic matches under the Odisha Cricket Association (OCA). He was nurtured by the OCA and earned selection in the prestigious Cooch Behar Trophy for the 2023–24 and 2024–25 seasons, which further motivated him to continue his cricketing journey.

 An enthusiastic and determined individual, Sibun thrives on challenges and has embraced the spirit of team sport by competing with players from diverse backgrounds. Cricket has played a vital role in enhancing his confidence and interpersonal skills, helping him overcome life’s challenges.

His outstanding achievements reflect his dedication, discipline, and consistent performance in deaf cricket. His selection is a matter of immense pride for ODCA and the entire state of Odisha.
