PATNA/JAMUI, September 22: Two youth accused of allegedly harassing a boy and a girl in Bihar’s Jamui district were arrested by police on Tuesday following an encounter in which both sustained injuries, an official said.

With the latest arrests, the total number of people apprehended in connection with the September 19 incident has risen to five.

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, Munger Range, Rakesh Kumar said one of the accused, identified as Nandan Yadav, sustained a bullet injury to his leg during the encounter.

His alleged accomplice, Hareram Yadav, suffered a knee fracture while attempting to flee from the police, the DIG said.

Police had been conducting raids at various locations since Monday to trace and apprehend those involved in the incident, he added.
