Keonjhar, Jan 15: In a bizarre incident, a baby girl was rescued from near the wheels of a private bus at the Champua bus stand in Odisha’s Keonjhar on Sunday night. The driver of the private bus spotted the abandoned girl and rescued her.
According to the report, the driver identified as Dhabaleswar, found the girl inside a plastic bag while he was inspecting the bus on Sunday night. Soon after, he informed the locals as well as police about the incident.
Police, after reaching the spot, sent the baby to Champua Sub-district hospital for primary treatment. The condition of the baby is stated to be stable. Meanwhile, police have started an investigation to trace the whereabouts of the baby girl’s mother.
