​​​​​​​Angul, Jan 15: Yet in another trap, the Odisha Vigilance on Friday caught a Medical Officer in Angul while he was receiving a bribe worth Rs 49,000.

The accused has been identified as Dr. Sumanta Kumar Patel, Medical Officer, CHC Kaniha in Angul district.

According to the Vigilance sources, Patel was nabbed by the sleuths inside the CHC campus while taking bribe of Rs 49,000 to grant incentives of the Community Health Officers.

The bribe money was recovered and seized from the accused. A case under Corruption Act was registered in this connection.
