Bhubaneswar, October 19: The much-anticipated world’s largest open-air theatre, Odisha's Bargarh ‘Dhanu Yatra,’ is set to commence on January 3, 2024, and will run until January 13.
This decision was finalized during a committee meeting held today in Bargarh.
The 11-day event showcases the epic story of Lord Krishna’s triumph over the tyrant King Kansa.
During this period, the town of Bargarh transforms into the mythological city of Mathura, while nearby Ambapali becomes the village of Gopa.
The entire region will be illuminated with vibrant lights and intricate decorations, making the town a magical stage for this legendary performance.
This annual festival attracts devotees, tourists, and culture enthusiasts from around the world.
