As per reports, the incident took place at Bhalukhai forest in Samian panchayat under Bari police limits when the tribal woman had to graze her cattle. Two assailants held her captive and took turns to rape her.
Later, the woman somehow managed to escape from their clutches and reported the matter to Bari police and filed a complaint.
Acting on it, the police officers launched a probe into the matter and arrested the two accused men from a location some distance away from the village. The Bairi police also rescued the victim woman and sent her for a medical examination.
Further investigation into the matter was underway.
