Balasore, Oct 26: Tiger census commenced at Kuldiha Wildlife Sanctuary at Balasore on Wednesday. The census will continue till the end of the month.
According to the report, 42 forest department employees from 14 beat houses in the sanctuary are taking part in the tiger census exercise.
Besides, the census exercise has started in all the five forest ranges of Balasore forest division with the help of more than 250 forest employees from 52 beat houses.
Part of the census, camera trapping will be done between November and January. Pugmarks and stool samples will be collected for DNA sampling. After all these processes, the data will be submitted to the government in the form of a report.
