Bhubaneswar, Oct. 11: Special Sessions on Hockey will be held in Odisha Colleges every Monday.
Department of Higher Education is all set to impart special Sessions on the National Game recently.
The department has issued notifications for the college authorities in this connection.
According to the notifications, weekly sessions will be organized in order to instill interest and passion for Hockey among the students, where the students will be fascinated by the Hockey Game with enjoyable informal lessons regarding the glorious history, basics, legacy, and prosperity of hockey.
The Principals and the Institution heads have been asked to remit the photographs and multimedia outputs of the program, to the department. They have been also advised to post details of the programs on social media, for the sake of wide circulation.
Worth mentioning, the Odisha government has been patronizing the Indian Hockey team. The state government sponsored the Men’s and Women’s Hockey World Cup in 2020 and 2023. The government has also been sponsoring both the Men’s and Women’s Hockey National Team since 2018.
