Puri, Jul 14: Internationally acclaimed sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik has created a mesmerizing sand sculpture of Lord Shiva on Puri beach on Monday.
The intricately crafted sand art features Lord Shiva with a crescent moon adorning his head and the sacred river Ganga flowing from his matted locks (jata). A Shiva Linga is sculpted on the right side of the figure, while a yellow-hued snake coiled on the left adds symbolic depth and visual elegance to the artwork.
Through this creation, Pattnaik conveys a spiritual message, highlighting that Lord Shiva’s blessings bring strength, peace, and devotion to the world. The sculpture bears the inscription: "Om Namah Shivaya – May Mahadev bless us with strength, peace, and devotion."
Taking to his X handle, Pattnaik wrote: “Om Namah Shivaya …On this holy #ShravanSomvar, may Mahadev bless us with strength, peace & devotion. My sand art at Puri Beach, Odisha – a humble tribute to Lord Shiva.”
