The State Bank of India (SBI) has recently issued an official notification regarding the recruitment of Specialist Cadre Officers (SCO). Interested candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can apply for these positions through the official website at sbi.co.in/web/careers.

Educational qualifications:
Candidates should possess a graduate degree in any discipline from a government-recognized university or institution. Additionally, they must hold a Certificate in Forex by IIBF. Preference will be given to candidates with additional qualifications such as a Certificate for Documentary Credit Specialists (CDCS), a Certificate in Trade Finance, or a Certificate in International Banking. Applicants should also have a minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience in Trade Finance processing in a supervisory role at a scheduled commercial bank. Strong communication, presentation, and processing skills are essential.
Selection process:
The selection process includes the shortlisting of candidates based on predetermined parameters and conducting interviews. Meeting the minimum qualifications and experience requirements does not guarantee selection for the interview round. A committee will establish the shortlisting criteria, and eligible candidates will be invited for interviews. The interview round will be scored out of 100 marks, with the bank determining the qualifying marks. A merit list will be prepared in descending order based on interview scores. In case of multiple candidates achieving the same cut-off marks, priority will be given based on age, with older candidates ranked higher.
