Bhubaneswar, Feb 11: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Sunday expressed deep grief over the demise of prominent literary figure and former president of Odisha Sahitya Akademi Satakadi Hota.
In a condolence message, the Chief Minister said that Hota’s cremation will be performed with full state honor. Hota had a reputation of being an eminent and well-known literary figure of the State. He has left his indelible mark in the world of Odia literature through the creation of many quality stories, novels, poems and translated literature. He was also a skilled organizer and a noted journalist.
His demise is an irreparable loss to the field of Odia literature. May his immortal soul rest in peace. Condolences to the bereaved family, the message added.
