Bhubaneswar, April. 6: The resentment against incumbent MP Aparajita Sarangi in Begunia assembly segment has escalated after her announcement as the BJP MP candidate from the Bhubaneswar Lok Sabha constituency.

One faction of BJP party leaders and workers in Begunia assembly segment has expressed their discontent over her candidature. They allege that Aparajita, during her tenure as MP, neglected party workers and engaged in divisive politics within the party. According to them, she weakened the BJP’s position in their assembly segment.

Recently, a meeting was held at Jageswari Temple in Nidhipur Village, where BJP leaders and workers from south Begunia (Zilla Parishad Zone 24) voiced their opposition against Aparajita's candidature.

Their slogan was “OUT Aparajita, SAVE BJP”.

The meeting was led by BJP Vice President of South Begunia, Sanntosh Kumar Behera, and witnessed the participation of prominent BJP leaders such as Sanjay Chhualasing, Dhruba Charan Nayak, Gaura Charan Praharaj, Ramesh Chandra Samantary, Ramachandra Senapati, Kedarnath Rautray, and many others.
