Moscow, March 27: Russian President Vladimir Putin has agreed to visit India in response to an invitation from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with preparations for the visit already underway, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Thursday.
In a video message at the "Russia and India: Toward a New Bilateral Agenda" conference, organized by the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC), Lavrov stated, "Arrangements are currently in progress for President Putin's visit to India."
He further emphasized, "President Vladimir Putin has accepted the invitation extended by India's head of government, and preparations for the visit are currently taking place," as reported by the state-run TASS news agency.
