New Delhi, Aug 26: President Droupadi Murmu, Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday extended their warm wishes to the countrymen on the occasion of Janmashtami, celebrated to commemorate the birth of Lord Krishna.

On this occasion, let us imbibe the teachings of Lord Shri Krishna and resolve to work for the progress and prosperity of the country," Murmu wrote on X (formerly twitter).
