India's 10metre air rifle mixed teams on Saturday could not enter the medal rounds.
The results revealed that Ramita Hooda-Arjun Babuta were the best performing pair but they finished sixth. Had they bben among the top four, they could have made into the medals round.
The other Indian pair Elavenil Valarivan and Sandeep Singh finish 12th.
Similarly, India's Sarabjot Singh & Arjun Singh Cheema competed in the men's 10m air pistol qualification.
Sarabjot finished an agonizing 9th. Had he been among the top eight, he could have made into the final.
Cheema was in the top 8 after the initial few series and was shooting consistently but one stray 7 in the 4th series saw him plummet to 18th.
However, both these shooters Both have one more chance in the mixed team event and hopefully they make amends and perform better.
