Kashmir, May 13: The J&K government on Tuesday declared compensation for the damage caused due to the India- Pakistan conflict.
J&K Chief minister Omar Abdullah announced it today.
Omar said that due compensation will be offered to the locals after assessments, undertaken by authorities.
"You have seen the damage here, caused by the India-Pakistan tensions. Thankfully, there has been no loss of lives, but there has been damage to property. Damage assessment and compensation will be done. Community bunkers made here have not been utilised for a long time, and no new bunkers have been made in recent times. The locals have suggested that individual bunkers must be made.”
“The government will make a scheme and speak to the Central government about the loss & damage.We all want the ceasefire to continue," Abdullah said while interacting with media persons.
