Abu Dhabi/Bhubaneswar, September 9: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Wednesday participated in a roundtable discussion with the Indian Business & Professional Group (IBPG) in Abu Dhabi as part of Odisha Government’s UAE Investors’ Meet initiative to attract investments and forging long-term industrial partnerships.
The discussion focused on strengthening cooperation and facilitating exchange of goods, exports and trade between Odisha and the UAE. Opportunities in turmeric, ginger, seafood, food processing and contract manufacturing for leading UAE brands were highlighted.
The meeting also explored opportunities for deployment of highly skilled professionals from Odisha. Odisha-based companies Ruchi and Farrm B, B -one, with established UAE presence, participated. IBPG President Rajiv Shah also attended the interaction.

“The engagement highlighted Odisha’s expanding economic opportunities and explored avenues for strengthening investment, trade and industrial cooperation between Odisha and the UAE,” it wrote.
For the context, Chief Minister Majhi has embarked on a four-day visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), leading a high-level business delegation to engage global investors, financial institutions and industry leaders as part of his second international investment outreach.
A series of business and investor meetings are scheduled from September 9 to 11.
The first day of the outreach on Wednesday included meetings with International Holding Company (IHC) and its business verticals, the Indian Business and Professional Group (IBPG), the UAE Minister of Investment and other senior investment stakeholders.
