Bhubaneswar, Nov 9: Odisha Vigilance so far has traced properties worth crores including 28 plots in the prime areas of Bhubaneswar and Gop, Pipili, Satyabadi of Puri district linked to Professor (Dr) Sudarshan Behera, Principal, Government Ayurvedic College and Hospital, Bolangir.
The Vigilance on Thursday raided seven places linked to Behera to unearth assets disproportionate to his source of income on the basis of search warrants issued by the Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar.
The anti-corruption agency so far has traced one residential building located at Sakhigopal,, onee double storeyed building located at Sriramchandrapur, one building at Sorisiapada, as many as 28 plots in prime area of Bhubaneswar and Gop, Pipili, Satyabadi of Puri district., three four wheelers , bank deposits and household articles worth approx Rs 19 lakh.
Officials said that postal, insurance and other deposits are under verification. “Behera is being examined to ascertain the source of the assets. Further searches are continuing. Unearthing of more assets is likely and overall valuation is likely to increase,” said an official.
