Bhubaneswar, Aug 17: Odisha Vigilance on Saturday arrested Pradeep Kumar Mohapatra, ACSO, Kendrapada for possessing disproportionate assets.

Based on the searches conducted on the proporties of Mohapatra, he was found in possession of disproportionate assets including two buildings in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, two costly plots in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, gold weighing 850 gram, deposits over Rs 2.86 Crore, cash Rs 1.21 Lakh which he could not explain satisfactorily.

Vigilance sleuths on Friday conducted a simultaneous raid at five locations in Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, and Kendrapara in connection with the Additional Civil Supplies Officer of Kendrapara on charges of amassing properties disproportionate to his known sources of income.

The searches were led by four Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), one Assistant Commandant, five Inspectors, and other supporting staff, based on search warrants issued by the Special Judge of Vigilance, Cuttack.
