Sundergarh, Mar 10: The Fire Services personnel on Sunday fished out the bodies of three persons including two minor boys, who went missing in the Ib River in Odisha’s Sundergarh district yesterday.
The deceased have been identified as Md Rizwan and Md Faran, and their uncle Md Sazid.
As per reports, the trio along had gone to the riverside for a picnic along with their family members. Later, they went to take a bath in the river when they got trapped in quicksand in the river and slipped into the deep water. Thereafter, they went missing.
Upon getting the information, Fire Services personnel rushed to the spot and launched a search operation to trace the missing persons.
However, the operation had to be halted owing to darkness. Later this morning, the operation was resumed and the fire fighters fished out the bodies.
Further investigation into the matter is underway.
