Jaipur, May 7: In a bold move to enhance its tourism profile, Odisha is making its debut as a premier MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) tourism destination at the Great Indian Travel Bazaar (GITB) 2025 in Jaipur. Spearheaded by Deputy Chief Minister and Tourism Minister Pravati Parida, the state’s delegation is actively engaging industry stakeholders through a series of strategic meetings and presentations.
Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat applauded Odisha’s innovative approach to tourism promotion during the “Meet in India Conclave,” highlighting the state's growing reputation in the global tourism landscape. Balwant Singh, Odisha's Tourism Secretary, also spotlighted the state’s successful hosting of international events such as Pravasi Bharatiya Divas and the FIH Hockey World Cup, which have added to its credentials as a key destination for high-profile events.
A significant highlight of Odisha’s participation at the event was a stakeholder meeting with over 45 key industry players. Discussions focused on fast-track clearances, infrastructure development, and attractive incentives, all of which are crucial in positioning Odisha as a leading hub for MICE tourism.
With state-of-the-art venues, eco-retreats, and a vibrant cultural backdrop, Odisha aims to offer an exceptional blend of business opportunities and cultural experiences. The campaign reflects the state’s ambition to become India’s go-to destination for world-class MICE experiences, catering to both domestic and international clients.
Odisha’s forward-thinking approach promises to place the state on the map as a dynamic and competitive player in the MICE tourism industry.
