Bhubaneswar, Sep 5: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced on Friday that the Odisha government will regularise the employment of more than 13,000 schematic junior teachers across the state.
According to an official statement, these teachers were appointed in 2025 and will now have their positions regularised as part of the government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the education system.
A delegation from the Odisha Schematic Junior Teachers’ Association met with the Chief Minister at the State Guest House to express their gratitude for the decision. They also appreciated the government's proactive initiatives aimed at improving primary education in Odisha.
During the meeting, CM Majhi urged the teachers to remain committed to delivering quality education.
“We will encounter many challenges in life, but we must treat them as opportunities to grow. A teacher should never lose sight of their responsibilities toward students, regardless of the circumstances,” said the Chief Minister.
