Bhubaneswar, June 7: Odisha Higher Education Department has announced a free residential UPSC Civil Services Coaching Programme for the 2026–27 academic session. The initiative aims to support 200 aspiring civil servants from the state, with online applications set to begin on June 8, 2026.
The programme is intended to provide comprehensive coaching and residential facilities to candidates preparing for the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services Examination, covering both the Preliminary and Main stages.
According to the official notification, selected candidates will receive 11 months of intensive training in General Studies and UPSC optional subjects. The coaching is designed to offer systematic academic guidance and focused preparation aligned with the UPSC syllabus.
A major highlight of the programme is its fully residential format. The state government will cover the expenses of accommodation and meals, enabling participants to concentrate on their studies without financial concerns.
Selection for the coaching programme will be based on a pre-qualifying entrance examination scheduled for June 28, 2026. Applicants must be domiciles of Odisha and are required to submit their applications through the Student Academic Management System (SAMS) portal. A registration fee of ₹100 will be applicable.
The online application process will commence at 11:00 AM on June 8 and conclude at 11:45 PM on June 19, 2026. Candidates will have an opportunity to edit their application forms on June 20, while admit cards will be available for download from June 24 via the HIMS and SAMS portals.
The provisional answer key for the entrance examination will be released on June 29. Candidates may submit objections on July 2 and July 3, after which the revised answer key will be published on July 8.
The Higher Education Department has stated that dates for the release of the final merit list, document verification, admissions, and the commencement of coaching classes will be announced separately.
