Bhubaneswar, April 29: The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Monday issued the notification for the sixth phase of Lok Sabha elections 2024.
This will be the third phase of elections in Odisha where simultaneous polls will be held in six Lok Sabha seats and 42 Assembly constituencies under them on May 25. The Parliamentary constituencies where the elections will be held in the sixth phase include Sambalpur, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Puri and Bhubaneswar.

As per the schedule, the filling of nomination papers will begin on Monday and will continue till May 6.

While the scrutiny of nomination papers is scheduled on May 7, the last date for withdrawal of nomination forms is May 9. In this phase, a total of 94,41,797 voters including 48,26, 375 male and 46,14,134 female electorates are to exercise their franchise and decide the political fates of the contesting candidates.

Notably, the Lok Sabha and Assembly polls in Odisha will be held in four phases -- May 13, 20, 25, and June 1. The counting of votes will be done on June 4.
