Bhubaneswar, Oct 17: Odisha is raring to showcase its treasure trove of talent in the reality singing show Indian Idol as Dr Rohan Biswal, a 23-year-old house surgeon at the pediatric department of SUM Hospital in Bhubaneswar, is shining in ‘Indian Idol’ Season -14.
Rohan is seen auditioning for the show in its fourteenth season in a video released on social media. He croons to “Kaise Hua” from the popular movie “Kabir Singh” impressed the judges at the show so much that they fondly nicknamed him the “Doctor-Singer”.
He not only impressed the judges – Shreya Ghoshal, Kumar Shanu, and Vishal Dadlani but also earned him a ‘golden ticket’ ensuring his performance in the next rounds.
Although learning medicine and music are two different things, Rohan desires to merge both while treating small children. He sings to his little patients at the SUM Hospital, easing their pain and suffering.
