Bhubaneswar, August 30: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Sunday praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 137th episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’, saying the programme highlighted Odisha’s rich history, natural heritage, art, and the achievements of its people.

Majhi attended the programme at the Shri Balunkeswar Mahadev Temple premises in Nayapalli, Bhubaneswar.

He said the Prime Minister’s references to Odisha’s historical legacy, including the Bhaumakara queen Tribhuvan Mahadevi, had brought greater national attention to the state’s past.

The Chief Minister also highlighted the story of Maithili Bhuye that Prime Minister Modi has mentioned in 'Mann Ki Baat’ today. She is from near Debrigarh Sanctuary, who moved from dependence on forest resources to forest conservation and eco-tourism. Her efforts have inspired around 60 women to pursue similar livelihood and conservation initiatives.

Majhi said ‘Mann Ki Baat’ continues to highlight the achievements of young people and grassroots contributors across the country, inspiring citizens to participate in nation-building.

He urged people to collectively work towards a self-reliant and developed India in line with the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’.
