Naveen Patnaik is one of Odisha’s most prominent political leaders and served as the state’s Chief Minister for five consecutive terms, from 2000 to 2024. As the president of the BJD, he has played a significant role in shaping the state’s political landscape for more than two decades. Under his leadership, the party maintained a strong presence across Odisha and won multiple Assembly elections.
Following the BJD’s defeat in the 2024 Odisha Assembly elections, Patnaik assumed the role of Leader of the Opposition in the state Assembly. Despite the change in political power, he remains a key figure in Odisha politics. Birthday greetings from Majhi reflect a gesture of courtesy across party lines, highlighting the importance of goodwill and mutual respect among political leaders.
