Odisha CM invited to Maha Kumbh Mela in UP: Yogi sends holy pitcher filled with Ganga Jal to Majhi

Bhubaneswar, Dec 8: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has been invited to UP Maha Kumbh Mela. 

UP CM Yogi Adityanath on Sunday sent holy pitcher filled with Ganga jal with the insignia of the Maha Kumb Mela to Majhi, as a ritual of invitation to the holy fair.

A delegate from the UP government led by Labour and Employment Minister Anil Rajbhar and State Minister for Food, Logistics & Civil Supplies Satish Chandra Sharma accorded invitation for the biggest Hindu festivity at his official residence in Bhubaneswar, and sought Majhi’s solemn presence. 

According to reports, Majhi acknowledged Yogi’s invitation with thanks and assured to join the religious occasion, saying it a part of proud privilege for him.

Worth mentioning, the sacred Maha Kumbh Mela this year, is going to be held at Prayagraj from January 13 to February 26, 2025 according to the Hindu almanac.
