Bhubaneswar, Feb 20: The Annual High School Certificate or Matric exam for Class Xth students in Odisha commenced from today.
As many as 5, 51,611 students are slated to appear in the examination this year in 3,047 examination centres across the state. The examination will conclude on March 4, 2024. Similarly, the Board has made 21 police stations in remote areas as its nodal centres.
In a bid to put a check on malpractice, the BSE has put all the examination centres under CCTV surveillance and the data is live-streamed to the Command Control Centre at the BSE office in Cuttack.
Sources said, the CCTV cameras are powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI) which detects any abnormal activity under its purview and sends alerts to the Command Centre.
Even the nodal centres which are currently closed have been put under CCTV surveillance. Question papers of other days have been stored at the nodal centres.
Students appearing for the exams will have to download the Odisha HSC admit card 2024 through the official website, bseodisha.nic.in. They will have to mandatorily carry the hall ticket to the exam centre along with school ID.
The evaluation process will begin on March 16 and the entire process is likely to be completed by March 30, 2024.
