Bhubaneswar, AP 2: Odisha is likely to experience more heatwave days than normal this summer as temperatures are set to rise significantly in the coming days.
According to the Regional Meteorological Centre forecast in Bhubaneswar, the state can expect a surge in temperatures ranging from 2-4 degrees Celsius over the next couple of days.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts that the intensity of heatwaves will peak in April, potentially breaking previous temperature records. This year, the duration of the heatwave is expected to be longer compared to previous years, with Odisha likely to experience prolonged spells of intense heat for six to fourteen days between April and June.
