Birmaharajpur, Oct 31: Birmaharajpur MLA Padmanabha Behera's close aide and block vice-chairman Narayan Luha has now turned a threat to him.
Luha, who was managing the organisation of Padmanabha Behera for years, is now interested to contest as MLA candidate in 2024.
Luha was the close aide of Behera during 2019 Assembly election when a group of BJD workers opposed his candidature as an outsider.
Later, Narayan's wife Shanti Luha got elected as vice-chairman of Birmaharajpur block and the vice-chairman post went to him.
After being elected vice-chairman, Luha has made his own vote bank in the constituency uniting disgruntled BJD workers and is leading BJD's Birmaharajpur organisation following which Padmanabha has started meeting people and party workers at grassroots level visiting village to village for the last one month.
Behera attended Durga Puja celebrations at every pandal in his constituency. Besides, he celebrated his birthday with people organising a blood donation camp to connect with voters.
