Bhubaneswar, April 4: In Nabarangpur assembly segment, a political battle is brewing between aunty Kaushalya Pradhani and nephew Dilip Pradhani.
BJD has fielded Kaushalya as their candidate in Nabarangapur assembly seat in the upcoming election
Kaushalya is the wife of the incumbent Nabarangpur MLA, Sadasiv Pradhani.
Kaushalya Pradhani shares a familial connection with the influential Khagapati Pradhani, who has served as a Member of Parliament (MP) nine times.
On the other hand Dilip Pradhani, who is the grandson of Khagapati Pradhani will also contest as the Congress party nominee in the Nabarangpur assembly seat. .
Dilip holds the position of president in the district Schedule Tribe Cell and is also a pancayat samittee member of Pataput panchayat.
During the last panchayat election in 2022, incumbent MLA Sadasiv Pradhani prevented Dilip Pradhani from becoming the chairman of Tentulikhunti block. This incident trigerred a cold war between the two family members, turning them into adversaries.
The BJP has yet to announce its candidate. Once the BJP candidate is announced, the political landscape in Nabarangpur will witness an interesting triangular fight among the contenders.
