Bhubaneswar, August 10: The Regional Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar has issued an alert for 12 districts of Odisha, forecasting light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning over the next three hours.
The districts under the warning are Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Nayagarh, Cuttack, and Khurda.
Authorities have urged residents in these regions to remain cautious and stay updated on weather developments. In the event of lightning, people are advised to take immediate shelter in safe structures and avoid open areas to reduce the risk of strikes.
