Bhubaneswar, April 17: Prajnanandan Giri, currently the deputy collector of Bargarh, has secured 24th rank in Civil Services Examination-2023.
This was his third attempt at the CSE. Prajnanandan had cleared the Prelims in all the previous attempts and even appeared for the interview in 2021, but failed to clear the examination for eight marks.
‘I utilised the Covid lockdown period for CSE preparation and prepared for 6 to 8 hours daily despite my job responsibilities,” said Giri.
He is a resident of Karanjia in Mayurbhanj and an Integrated MSc graduate from NISER, Bhubaneswar. He completed his schooling from Saraswati Sishu Mandir at Karanjia.
Prajnanandan had taken a three-month leave for preparation before appearing for the Mains this time
Only with proper planning and daily practice, I could get the rank this time, said 27-year-old Prajnanandan.
He had joined government service clearing Odisha Revenue Service (ORS) exam in 2019 and later clicked Odisha Administrative Service (OAS) exam in 2020.
