Sundargarh, Oct 27: MLA Dr. CS Raazen Ekka trated patients at the Rajgangpur Community Health Centre (CHC) to address the shortage of doctors at the facility.

Responding to reports in the media about the challenges people were facing due to the lack of doctors at the Rajgangpur CHC, Dr. Ekka stepped in to provide his assistance. With a background as a physician, he felt compelled to help the community. He acknowledged that while the government should shoulder this responsibility, public servants also have a duty too. He expressed his willingness to participate and work to alleviate the situation.
Although six doctors are present at the CHC, three of them were on roster duty during the Puja holidays.
Dr. Dharani Ranjan Satpathy, the Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO) of Sundargarh, applauded Dr. Ekka for his service to the patients and noted that there was no compromise in patient care. He also mentioned that around 300-400 patients visit the Rajgangpur CHC daily, with a significant number requiring admission, indicating the need for additional doctors. Dr. Satpathy, who recently assumed the role of CDMO, pledged to address the issue and arrange for more doctors to serve at the health facility.
