Bhubaneswar, Feb 8: Senior Congress leader Narasingha Mishra on Thursday raised concerns regarding restrictions imposed by the Odisha government on journalists' access to Lok Seva Bhawan.
While raising the issue in the Odisha Assembly during the zero hour, Mishra demanded that the state government should make free entry provision for the working journalists.
During the Zero Hour, the senior Congress leader further demanded that the Odisha government should implement a pension scheme for the journalists like the provision made by other states.
Noting that journalists are being denied entry into the state secretariat for a long time, he said the state government should take steps for issuing entry pass to journalists to enable them to get into Lok Seva Bhavan for collection of news and coverage of events.
